Week 10 (2/11/15)

Practice for this week:

  1. Lesson book page 19.
  2. Keep working on "I am a Child of God". Remember to really focus on the fingering!! If you learn the right fingering it will make it easier to play the song, and you'll be able to play it faster and have more fun with it! If you feel comfortable with the right hand, try playing the melody in the LEFT hand. Remember that the fingering is different.
  3. Try to figure our the name that tune #2. I'm sure you know this one, so give it a try! It's listed under week 9's assignments.
  4. Keep practicing the left hand and then make up the melody for your song. Remember to use only black notes. Choose about 10 notes and use any rhythm you want.
Record the LEFT HAND only. Just play the chords over and over and over...
Then listen to the recording and play along with the RIGHT hand. This will help you feel more natural when we try playing both hands together
Have fun!
