Lesson 8 (1/28/15)

Practice for this week:

1. Lesson book page 14-15 (the quarter note and "The Old Clock")
2. Keep working on "I am a Child of God". Remember to really focus on the fingering!! If you learn the right fingering it will make it easier to play the song, and you'll be able to play it faster and have more fun with it!
3. Try to figure our the name that tune from last week. Hint: It's a primary song! Try to play the notes and rhythm as they are written. You can help each other figure it out, too.  
4. Practice the left hand and then make up the melody for your song. Remember to use only black notes. Choose about 10 notes and use any rhythm you want.
